Welcome to my 90-day review of blogging at HomeAndPocket.com!
As I reflect on my first three months, from January to March, I’m excited to share the data and insights I’ve gathered along the way. In this article, I’ll dive into the numbers—looking at viewership, likes, and subscriber growth, as well as reviewing the impact of advertisement income.
I’ll also break down my publishing efforts, sharing how many articles I’ve published and which ones have performed the best (and the worst).
Whether you’re a fellow blogger or just curious about my journey, I hope these insights help you understand what it really takes to get a blog off the ground!
First, Let’s take a MACRO look at the “BIG” picture of how Home & Pocket has been doing in terms of Viewership.
January was by far my highest Month with March in second, and Feb in last (probably due to 3 less days:
JAN – 1,001
FEB – 734
MAR – 859
TOTAL = 2,594!
Here’s what this looks like by “Week”
Viewership was a bit up and down the first 6-weeks. It has since stabilized and started to trend upward slightly since mid-February.
ARTICLES/ POST:
Since January (the website inception) I have posted 54 articles! Fairly impressive, I think!
My Articles are broken down into 8 categories under the Blog Roll Page.
Money / Finance / Investing is the most published area, and Inspiration and Motivation are the least. Not really counting “Uncategorized” since those are basically my social media announcements.
The #1 most viewed article is still since day 1, “2024 Dividend Investment Review”
My Least viewed / performing aritcle was “Maximize your Savings with CDs: How They Work”
Now, on a Macro view of the whole operation, here is what everything looks like together.
You can see the post and words contained in those 53 post. Also, I am up to “61 Likes” which is awesome! Most of those have been coming in the last month. Monday mornings still seems to be the best day/time to post and get views.
Next up – The MONEY!
The one thing everyone wants to ask and talk about. Well, I’m excited to announce, that after three months of blogging, I have made it!
Just over $4! that’s right, I have managed to produced less than the federal minimum wage of 1-hour of work over three-months. Impressive right.
Now, the cool thing is WordAds doesn’t pay you until you hit $100.00. So, I have another few years at this rate before I will see any money!
That’s ok, I’m not doing this for the money…. YET.
SOCIAL MEDIA
Since January, I have also started my social media engagements. Kind of. I am currenty on Facebook and Quora.
Both have done well in terms of viewership and engagement.
I think they both have their pros and cons and bring something different to the site and allow me to engage and post on various sites.
As for more social media, like X(Twitter) or Instagram. Honestly, I really don’t have the time or knowledge to make them worth while right now. I need to just focus on content and continue building my audience.
Next 90-Day Goals:
o Viewership: My main benchmark for progress remains the total viewership numbers. I have become disciplined and scheduled with my posting and now I need the viewership to follow. I am aiming for an average of 50 views a day over 1,500 total views a month over the next three months.
o Subscribers: I currently have 5 people subscribers. I would like to see that number at 20. I think that’s a solid goal. If I could get 5 in the first 3-months starting from scratch, then tripling it should be cake!
As I wrap up this 90-day review, I want to take a moment to extend a huge Thank You to all of the readers, subscribers, and supporters who have joined me on this journey so far. Your engagement, feedback, and encouragement mean the world to me, and I couldn’t be more grateful for each and every one of you.
